The Planning Commission was established in 1996 to prepare a comprehensive plan for the township. This Plan was adopted by the Township in 1998. Since that time the Planning Commission has been reviewing all variances, conditional use permits and plattings to ensure that they meet the comprehensive plan. They work very closely with Cass County Planning Commission and the Cass County Board of Adjustment.
The Planning Commission is made up of five permanent and/or seasonal residents of Wabedo Township. They are appointed by the Board of Supervisors and serve three year terms.
